Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
Boston SoftDesign wants everyone to be able to use bostonsd.com, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology. We treat accessibility as part of how we build and maintain the site, not as a one-time project.
Standard we work to
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA as our target. bostonsd.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA: some content does not yet fully meet the standard, as described under known limitations below. The site has not been audited by an independent third party.
What we have done
In October 2026 we reviewed the site and made these changes:
- Darkened gray and blue text so it meets WCAG contrast requirements against its background.
- Underlined links inside paragraphs so they can be identified without relying on color.
- Gave every link and button an accessible name, and removed duplicate image links from keyboard and screen reader order.
- Corrected heading order and added labels to data tables.
- Made sure the sticky header no longer covers the element that has keyboard focus, and that focus is always visible.
How we test
- Automated checks with Lighthouse (which uses the axe-core engine) on our main pages, including the home, services, solutions, insights and contact pages.
- Manual keyboard testing of menus, the cookie notice, cards and forms at phone width and at 200% browser zoom, checking that every focusable element is reachable, visible and not hidden behind other content.
- Checks of new pages and changes before they are published.
Automated tools catch only some accessibility issues, and our testing covers the pages and flows listed above, not every page on the site. We have not yet tested with every screen reader and browser combination.
Known limitations
- Video captions. Some product videos on our solutions pages include audio but do not yet have captions or transcripts. We plan to add them. In the meantime, the surrounding page text describes what each video shows, and we can provide a summary on request.
- Article images. Cover images on our insights use the article title as their text alternative, which may not describe everything shown in the image.
- Campaign landing page. Our NetSuite AP automation landing page was built separately from the main site and was not part of the October 2026 fixes. It still has some text with insufficient contrast, links that rely on color alone and a heading out of order.
- Other websites. Pages and documents on other websites that we link to are outside our control and may not meet WCAG 2.2 AA.
